PRO-C-VANE

PRO-C-VANE was founded in 2008 with the mission to make a safe environment for children globally, by not only providing substantial information for education and empowerment to the public but also by executing necessary action as well as to protect children from Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation, creating better lives one day at a time.

The name PRO-C-VANE refers to PROtect CHILDREN against Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation. PRO-C-VANE is a Non-Governmental Organization birthed in Trinidad in 2008 and officially formed in 2010.

The PRO-C-VANE which is also referred to as the Anti-VANE Campaign is designed to help meet the objectives of the National Plan of Action for CHILDREN (NPA) 2006-2010 which was formulated by an inter-ministerial committee under the tutelage of the Ministry of Social Development and launched in April 2007.

This organization originally stemmed from a project of the St. Patrick West District Youth Council (SPWDYC) in response to the “call for action” requested by the NPA Committee, which its founders embraced while supporting the work that the Trinidad Youth Council (TYC) has been and is still doing for holistic youth development.

PRO-C-VANE is now an independent Caribbean regional organization which works in close collaboration with TYC and other instrumental establishments to meet its objectives.
