The Help Educate Youths (H.E.Y.) Foundation is a non- profit organisation situated in central Trinidad. It was founded in 2017 by Jassodra Sampath with the vision of educating and improving the lives of young people. Its main goal is to create a safe environment for our youth that goes beyond textbooks.
H.E.Y. focuses on the social and economic well-being of the individual which it co siders important for their well-rounded development. It gives children real-world experiences and education through which their potential as productive members of society is explored and nurtured and through which their fundamental human rights are expressed.
Socially, the Foundation hopes to empower the youth through education, experiences, academic support, health education and emotional and mental support where needed.
In doing so, opportunities such as seminars, internships, and mentorship programs will be provided to enhance the abilities of young individuals. The Foundation also plans to promote educational tours to help our youth learn more about the country and become productive members of society.
The H.E.Y. Foundation assists economically vulnerable youth and families with food, clothes, books, and transport for qualifying individuals. The assistance provided to those in need comes from through fundraisers, as food and clothing drives, and donations from members of the H.E.Y. Foundation.
The Foundation encourages youths to engage in activities that benefit others and their communities through beach clean-ups, recycling programs, and reforestation programs.
The H.E.Y Foundation hopes to positively impact today’s young generation while assisting the disadvantaged and creating equal opportunities for all whom we support.
